Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Green Corn by Wang Wenjiang was worth HKD 275,000.00 (€ 23,898.52) to a buyer in April 2011. This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Wenjiang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Children At The River sold at auction in April 2012 with the realized price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,795.30).

Die Arbeit Green Corn von Wang Wenjiang war einem Käufer im April 2011 HKD 275.000,00 (€ 23.898,52) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Wenjiang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Children At The River im April 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.795,30).
