In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Tao Yuanming by Wang Mingming. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,316.37), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Mingming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Story Of Lanting in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,902,500.00 (€ 1,199,948.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tao Yuanming von Wang Mingming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.316,37) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Mingming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Story Of Lanting im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.902.500,00 (€ 1.199.948,92).
