A top price for Wang Kaiyun
When the work Poem In Xingshu by Wang Kaiyun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 275,000.00 (€ 32,361.80). This high result makes Poem In Xingshu the most expensive artwork by Wang Kaiyun that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Wang Kaiyun
Als die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu von Wang Kaiyun im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 275.000,00 (€ 32.361,80) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Poem In Xingshu zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Wang Kaiyun, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
