Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape after Ni Zan by Wang Jiu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 9,059.56) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Jiu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bamboos Leaning on Rocks, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,309.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape after Ni Zan von Wang Jiu wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 9.059,56) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bamboos Leaning on Rocks beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.309,76) versteigert wurde.
