This artwork by Wang Jiu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Summer Landscape sold for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 13,129.77) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wang Jiu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bamboos Leaning on Rocks sold at auction in November 2012 with the realized price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 22,309.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jiu erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Summer Landscape für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 13.129,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wang Jiu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bamboos Leaning on Rocks im November 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 22.309,76).
