The work Mountain Village Under the Moonlight, 1984 by Wang Jiqian was sold in the Chinese Paintings-The Online sale auction at Bonhams in September this year. It achieved a price of HKD 166,400.00 (€ 20,076.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape No. 472 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 351,746.67).

Die Arbeit Mountain Village Under the Moonlight, 1984 von Wang Jiqian wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Paintings-The Online sale bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 166.400,00 (€ 20.076,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape No. 472 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 351.746,67).
