Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Jiqian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Lush Mountains Scenery sold for HKD 119,700.00 (€ 13,558.53) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape No. 472 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 351,746.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Jiqian erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Lush Mountains Scenery für HKD 119.700,00 (€ 13.558,53) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape No. 472 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 351.746,67).
