Previously in the Collection of Zhang Dingchen (?-circa 2007) 張鼎臣舊藏中國書畫 Lots 941-949 張鼎臣（？-約2007），祖籍河北，年輕時受業於北京琉璃廠古董商、裱畫師馬霽川。一九四八年，張鼎臣赴南京開店，後移居香港。 得益於長期的經營實踐，張鼎臣眼力頗佳。不僅與當時許多鑒定權威如劉九庵、耿寳昌等保持往來，更成爲張大千在香港購藏、銷售古代書畫的代理人之一。大千每經香港，便與張鼎臣盤桓多日，交誼深厚。二十世紀五十年代，張大千帶往海外的古代書畫，其中一批經張鼎臣手轉賣給銀行家陳仁濤，陳氏再將作品分賣給外海公私藏家，亦有不少作品最終進入紐約大都會博物館永久館藏。
