Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lotus and Bird by Wang Jiqian was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,174.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Jiqian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape No. 472 in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 351,746.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lotus and Bird von Wang Jiqian wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.174,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Jiqian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape No. 472 im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 351.746,67).
