The work Ink Landscape by Wang Gai was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 58,014.58), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Gai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Estate By The City Of Qi in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,090,000.00 (€ 969,923.47).
