Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Clear Mountain and Verdant Valley by Wang Fang. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,587.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Fang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape After Wang Jian, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,624.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Clear Mountain and Verdant Valley von Wang Fang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.587,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Fang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Jian beobachtet, die im März 2018 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.624,19) versteigert wurde.
