Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Lotus by Wang Dawen. The price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,474.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Dawen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reminiscence Of Old Shanghai in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,970.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lotus von Wang Dawen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.474,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Dawen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reminiscence Of Old Shanghai im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.970,65).
