Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady With Plum Blossoms by Wang Dawen was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,662.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Dawen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reminiscence Of Old Shanghai in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,970.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady With Plum Blossoms von Wang Dawen kam im September 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.662,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Dawen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reminiscence Of Old Shanghai im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.970,65).
