Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pavilion By The River by Wang Chen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 6,000.00 (€ 6,127.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rivers Xiao and Xiang in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pavilion By The River von Wang Chen wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 6.000,00 (€ 6.127,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rivers Xiao and Xiang im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
