Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ink Landscape after Wang Meng, 1782 by Wang Chen was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,465.61). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rivers Xiao and Xiang in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
