Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove by Wan Shouqi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 27,720.00 (€ 3,083.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wan Shouqi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View from Mount Jin in May 2014 with an auction result of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,198.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove von Wan Shouqi wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 27.720,00 (€ 3.083,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wan Shouqi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View from Mount Jin im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.198,31).
