Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ox In Riverscape by Wan Shouqi was sold in the A Connoisseur's Vision: Property from the Xu Hanqing Collection auction at Christies in New York in September 2011. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 26,024.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wan Shouqi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A View from Mount Jin, which sold at auction in May 2014 for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,198.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ox In Riverscape von Wan Shouqi wurde im September 2011 in der Auktion A Connoisseur's Vision: Property from the Xu Hanqing Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 26.024,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wan Shouqi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A View from Mount Jin beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.198,31) versteigert wurde.
