Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work In the corn fields, Walton, Surrey, looking towards Dorking; and A bit of the river Mole at Norbury, Surrey by Walter Wallor Caffyn was worth GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,695.20) to a buyer in September 2000. This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over.
