In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A Young Girl On A Country Path Before A Cottage; And A Figure Before A Pool, A Cottage Beyond by Walter Wallor Caffyn. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,500.00 (€ 2,038.25), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Wallor Caffyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fittleworth Lock on the Rother, Sussex in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 14,100.00 (€ 22,350.24).

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Girl On A Country Path Before A Cottage; And A Figure Before A Pool, A Cottage Beyond von Walter Wallor Caffyn zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 2.038,25) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Wallor Caffyn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fittleworth Lock on the Rother, Sussex im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 14.100,00 (€ 22.350,24).
