Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Wicked Piece; Portrait of Nellie Taylor by Walter Richard Sickert was sold in the Discovery Prints Sale Online auction at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 510.00 (€ 581.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Richard Sickert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L' Eldorado in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Wicked Piece; Portrait of Nellie Taylor von Walter Richard Sickert wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Discovery Prints Sale Online bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 510,00 (€ 581,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Richard Sickert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L' Eldorado im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
