Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape of Envermu by Walter Richard Sickert was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 14,897.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Richard Sickert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L' Eldorado in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 245,000.00 (€ 289,075.91).

Die Arbeit Landscape of Envermu von Walter Richard Sickert wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.800,00 (€ 14.897,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Richard Sickert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L' Eldorado im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 245.000,00 (€ 289.075,91).
