In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Children playing with a sailing boat sold for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,757.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Walter John Beauvais; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A bustling Mediterranean beach; and Another similar sold at auction in January 2002 with the realized price of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,702.75).
