Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Dans la parc by Walter John Beauvais for GBP 437.50 (€ 557.26). This price was achieved in the auction The Sunday Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Walter John Beauvais have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bustling Mediterranean beach; and Another similar in January 2002 with an auction result of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,702.75).
