Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Walter J. Watson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2003. In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction, the work The Lledr valley sold for GBP 7,520.00 (€ 10,795.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Walter J. Watson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Bolton Abbey; morning and afternoon sold at auction in May 2004 with the realized price of GBP 13,742.50 (€ 20,618.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter J. Watson erzielte im November 2003 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES wurde die Arbeit The Lledr valley für GBP 7.520,00 (€ 10.795,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Walter J. Watson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Bolton Abbey; morning and afternoon im Mai 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 13.742,50 (€ 20.618,81).
