Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Llugwy, West Wales by Walter J. Watson was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,667.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter J. Watson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bolton Abbey; morning and afternoon in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 13,742.50 (€ 20,618.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On The Llugwy, West Wales von Walter J. Watson wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.667,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter J.
