Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Figures Strolling down a Lane by Walter Withers was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2005. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 3,585.00 (€ 2,173.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Withers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Farmer'S Girl in May 2005 with an auction result of AUD 221,075.00 (€ 135,896.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures Strolling down a Lane von Walter Withers kam im April 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 3.585,00 (€ 2.173,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Withers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Farmer'S Girl im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 221.075,00 (€ 135.896,05).
