Three Private Collections auction, the work The Swan Tavern, Battersea, from the River Thames sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,247.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Greaves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Abbott McNeill Whistler on the Widow's Walk at his House in Lindsey Row, Chelsea in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 59,750.00 (€ 85,864.00).
