The work Interior of the Dining Room at the Villa Sylvia, Beaulieu-sur-Mert by Walter Gay was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2021. It achieved a price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,511.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Gay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Salon des Aigles, Hotel Crillon, Paris, which sold at auction in April 2002 for USD 45,410.00 (€ 50,444.35).

Die Arbeit Interior of the Dining Room at the Villa Sylvia, Beaulieu-sur-Mert von Walter Gay kam im Januar 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.511,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Gay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Salon des Aigles, Hotel Crillon, Paris beobachtet, die im April 2002 für USD 45.410,00 (€ 50.444,35) versteigert wurde.
