This artwork by Walter Gay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in March 2016. In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings auction, the work Intérieur De Chambre Aux Rideaux Bleus sold for EUR 5,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Walter Gay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Salon des Aigles, Hotel Crillon, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 45,410.00 (€ 50,444.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Gay erzielte im März 2016 bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Intérieur De Chambre Aux Rideaux Bleus für EUR 5.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Gay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Salon des Aigles, Hotel Crillon, Paris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.410,00 (€ 50.444,35).
