Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Shafts of sunlight streaming into the interior of Winchester Cathedral; and Monks in the cloisters by Walter Tyndale for GBP 239.00 (€ 338.25). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Tyndale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abu Symbel, Upper Nile in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,258.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shafts of sunlight streaming into the interior of Winchester Cathedral; and Monks in the cloisters von Walter Tyndale für GBP 239,00 (€ 338,25) erwerben.
