In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work A bustling street in Cairo with a Minaret beyond by Walter Tyndale. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,813.25), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Walter Tyndale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abu Symbel, Upper Nile in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,258.56).

Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bustling street in Cairo with a Minaret beyond von Walter Tyndale zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.813,25) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter Tyndale auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abu Symbel, Upper Nile im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.258,56).
