Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Walter Tyndale could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction, the work A bustling street before a minaret, Damascus changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 697.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Tyndale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abu Symbel, Upper Nile in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,258.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Walter Tyndale konnte im Juli 2017 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art wechselte die Arbeit A bustling street before a minaret, Damascus für GBP 625,00 (€ 697,40) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Tyndale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abu Symbel, Upper Nile im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.258,56).
