This artwork by Waldemar Lorentzon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2021. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work "Tennisspelare" / "The tennis players" sold for SEK 3,050,000.00 (€ 301,148.11) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 1,500,000.00. This high result makes "Tennisspelare" / "The tennis players" the most expensive artwork by Waldemar Lorentzon that we have observed at auctions so far.
