Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which included the work San Bernardino; A Franciscan Monk by Vittore Crivelli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,650.89), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Vittore Crivelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Saint Jerome In The Desert in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 52,374.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Bernardino; A Franciscan Monk von Vittore Crivelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.650,89) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vittore Crivelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Saint Jerome In The Desert im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 52.374,03).
