It achieved a price of AUD 1,410.00 (€ 719.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Violet McInnes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life, Flowers And Fruit, which sold at auction in November 2005 for AUD 4,182.50 (€ 2,623.02).
