Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yellow Still Life by Viola Frey was auctioned at Bonhams in October this year. It achieved a price of USD 832.00 (€ 787.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viola Frey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Talking Hands, circa 1989 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 110,075.00 (€ 93,936.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yellow Still Life von Viola Frey kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 832,00 (€ 787,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viola Frey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Talking Hands, circa 1989 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.075,00 (€ 93.936,68).
