Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Viola Frey for USD 896.00 (€ 821.42). This price was achieved in the auction Discovery on Sunset at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viola Frey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Talking Hands, circa 1989 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 110,075.00 (€ 93,936.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Viola Frey für USD 896,00 (€ 821,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Discovery on Sunset bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viola Frey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Talking Hands, circa 1989 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.075,00 (€ 93.936,68).
