Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 768.00 (€ 726.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Viola Frey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Talking Hands, circa 1989 in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 110,075.00 (€ 93,936.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Floral Still Life) von Viola Frey kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 768,00 (€ 726,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Viola Frey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Talking Hands, circa 1989 im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.075,00 (€ 93.936,68).
