In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The Simeon alchemist by Vincent de Vos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,907.76), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Vincent de Vos; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Singerie Scene With A Simeon Alchemist sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,900.91).

Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Simeon alchemist von Vincent de Vos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.907,76) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Vincent de Vos; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Singerie Scene With A Simeon Alchemist im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.900,91).
