The work Dunkebakke. Frederiksværk by Vilhelm Hammershøi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. The result of USD 300,000.00 (€ 270,440.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Dunkebakke. Frederiksværk von Vilhelm Hammershøi kam im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 300.000,00 (€ 270.440,82) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
