Auction result well in line with expectations
The work “Morgen-Toilette” by Vilhelm Hammershøi was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 1,600,000.00 (€ 214,512.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit “Morgen-Toilette” von Vilhelm Hammershøi kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 1.600.000,00 (€ 214.512,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
