This price was achieved in the auction Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Victor Pivovarov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych with a Snake in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,141.64).
