Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work White Hydrangeas by Victoria Fantin-Latour for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,808.90). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Victoria Fantin-Latour have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeté De Roses Sur Un Entablement in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 34,850.00 (€ 42,380.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit White Hydrangeas von Victoria Fantin-Latour für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.808,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victoria Fantin-Latour auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeté De Roses Sur Un Entablement im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 34.850,00 (€ 42.380,84).
