Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work ‘Revival’ (‘After His Successful “Gold Rush” Our Clem Now Appears In “City Lights”’) by Victor Weisz. It changed hands for a price of GBP 875.00 (€ 996.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Weisz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winston Churchill Is Conquering The House, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,700.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘Revival’ (‘After His Successful “Gold Rush” Our Clem Now Appears In “City Lights”’) von Victor Weisz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 996,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Weisz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winston Churchill Is Conquering The House beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.700,30) versteigert wurde.
