Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Victor Spinski was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 687.50 (€ 501.28). Admittedly, works by Victor Spinski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,187.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Victor Spinski im Januar 2011 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 687,50 (€ 501,28) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Spinski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.187,39).
