This work without title by Victor Pivovarov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The auction ended at the price of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,637.97), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Pivovarov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Triptych with a Snake in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,141.64).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Victor Pivovarov kam im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.637,97) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Victor Pivovarov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Triptych with a Snake im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 185.141,64).
