In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Three Works On Paper by Victor Pivovarov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,966.28), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Pivovarov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych with a Snake in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,141.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Three Works On Paper von Victor Pivovarov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.966,28) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Pivovarov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych with a Snake im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 185.141,64).
