Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Russian Two Works On Paper, 1999 by Victor Pivovarov was sold in the Russian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,029.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Pivovarov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Triptych with a Snake in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 145,250.00 (€ 185,141.64).

Die Arbeit Russian Two Works On Paper, 1999 von Victor Pivovarov wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.029,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Pivovarov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Triptych with a Snake im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 145.250,00 (€ 185.141,64).
