In January 2024 Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Green Darkness (L. G44) by Victor Pasmore. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,778.00 (€ 2,975.76), 48% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Pasmore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 231,985.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2024 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Green Darkness (L. G44) von Victor Pasmore zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.778,00 (€ 2.975,76) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Pasmore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract in Indian Red, Crimson, Blue, Yellow, Green, Pink and Orange im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 231.985,66).
