Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century Paintings, which included the work French Interesting News by Victor Marais-Milton. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 9,850.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Marais-Milton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Musical Cardinals, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 20,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Interesting News von Victor Marais-Milton zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 9.850,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Marais-Milton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Musical Cardinals beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 20.000,00 versteigert wurde.
